How Shipping Works — The Honest Truth
We ship from Weifang, China via DHL, FedEx, and other international couriers. We don't set shipping prices — the courier companies do. Here's exactly how it's calculated so you can make informed decisions:
📦 Chargeable Weight Formula
Couriers charge based on whichever is greater: actual weight OR volumetric weight.
Chargeable Weight = MAX(actual weight, L × W × H ÷ 5000)
Artificial flowers are light but bulky — so volumetric weight almost always wins. A stem weighing 50g may be charged as 0.1-0.3kg based on its box dimensions.
Why a single stem has "expensive" shipping:
Couriers have a minimum charge (typically the 0.5kg rate). Whether you ship 1 stem or 8 stems, if they fit in the same 0.5kg bracket, the shipping cost is similar. This is the courier's pricing structure, not ours — but we've designed a solution to help you get maximum value:

How to Get the Best Shipping Value
- Mix products to fill a box — combine short stems with flower heads to maximize density. A full Box A with 100 stems + 50 heads costs about the same to ship as 10 stems alone.
- Match the box to your products — short stems → Box A or C; long stems → Box B; flower heads only → Box C; large mixed orders → Box D.
- The cart shows total weight — as you add items, your cart accumulates weight. We pack into the smallest box that fits, so you're always in the best rate bracket.
- Order samples first, then bulk — buy 1-3 items to verify quality. When you're ready to order in volume, fill a box for the best per-unit shipping.
Important Shipping Details
- Shipping rates vary by destination — USA, Canada, Europe, Australia all have different courier rates. Remote areas may incur surcharges.
- Trade terms (DDP vs DAP) — duties and taxes may apply depending on your country's import rules. DDP (delivered duty paid) includes these; DAP (delivered at place) means you pay duties on arrival.
- Final shipping cost is shown at checkout — enter your address to see the exact rate before you pay. No surprises.
- We don't offer "free shipping" thresholds — our product prices are already at the lowest possible margin. Hiding shipping costs in product prices would mean higher prices for everyone — not fair to bulk buyers.
- Processing time — sample orders ship within 3-5 business days. Bulk orders 7-15 days depending on quantity.
- Tracking — all shipments include tracking. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Sample Order FAQ
Can I order just one stem?
Yes. There's no minimum order. But be aware that shipping one stem costs about the same as shipping 8-10 stems (they fit in the same weight bracket). We recommend ordering at least 5-10 items to make shipping worthwhile.
Why is shipping so expensive for one item?
Couriers charge by chargeable weight (actual or volumetric, whichever is greater) with a 0.5kg minimum. One stem might weigh 50g but ship as 0.5kg due to box dimensions. We can't control courier pricing — but our custom boxes are designed to pack more product per shipment, lowering your per-stem cost.
How do I know which box my order will use?
Based on your product mix and quantity, we select the smallest box that safely fits your order. The cart shows your running total weight. Roughly: 1-10 items → small parcel; 10-50 items → Box A or C; 50+ items → Box A or D.
Can I request a specific box or packing method?
Yes — add a note at checkout or contact us before ordering. We'll do our best to accommodate.
Do you offer sea freight for very large orders?
